We had a wonderful time last weekend launching the poetry collection “Addicted to Words” and were humbled by the amount of people that came along to support the event. As well as current residents, we were joined by some of the guys who have moved on into their own accommodation. They performed their poems with honesty and courage, which had a very powerful effect on those listening. Some of the talented Changing Lives volunteers also read their writing and we were blessed to have Hasina perform one of her spoken word pieces too. We want to extend our deepest thanks to those who attended, to the residents who helped with set up and refreshments, and to St John’s Church who allowed us to use their hall for the event.
