2. Products
Many of our items are donated, pre-loved, vintage, antique, or one-of-a-kind. Because of this:
- Items may show signs of age or previous use.
- We aim to describe all items honestly and accurately.
- Colours may vary slightly due to screen settings.
- Measurements and sizes are approximate unless stated otherwise.
All items are subject to availability.
3. Pricing
- All prices are listed in GBP (£).
- Prices are subject to change without notice.
- Delivery costs are added separately where applicable.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time.
4. Ordering
Once an order is placed, you will receive confirmation of your purchase.
Changing Lives Charity reserves the right to:
- Refuse or cancel orders.
- Limit quantities purchased.
- Cancel orders where pricing or listing errors have occurred.
If payment has already been taken for a cancelled order, a full refund will be issued.
5. Delivery
- Delivery times are estimates only.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or circumstances beyond our control.
- Customers must ensure delivery addresses are correct before ordering.
Large furniture deliveries may be subject to additional terms and local delivery areas.
6. Click & Collect
Where available:
- Customers will be notified when items are ready for collection.
- Items must be collected within the stated timeframe unless agreed otherwise.
- Proof of purchase may be required upon collection.
7. Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of donated and second-hand goods:
- We do not accept returns for change of mind unless stated otherwise.
- If an item arrives damaged or significantly not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery or collection.
- Refunds are issued at the discretion of Changing Lives Charity.
- Approved refunds may be issued via the original payment method or store credit.
Refunds are not available for:
- Minor wear consistent with age/use.
- Incorrect sizing where measurements were provided.
- Items damaged after delivery or collection.
8. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled collection date.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the collection date will be eligible for a refund, subject to a £10 administration fee, which will be deducted from the amount refunded.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled collection date are non-refundable.
If you are unable to proceed with your collection within the 48 hours, you may instead:
- Move your collection to another available date, or
- Change the item(s) being collected.
If changing the items results in a higher collection charge, the additional cost must be paid before collection. If the revised collection is lower in value, no refund will be given for the difference.
All changes are subject to availability and must be agreed with Changing Lives Charity before the scheduled collection.
By booking and paying for a Bulky Waste Collection, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
9. Electrical Items
All electrical items are PAT tested where required before sale. However:
- Items should still be checked and used responsibly.
- Changing Lives Charity accepts no liability for misuse after purchase.
10. Donations & Sustainability
Purchases made through our online store directly support the work of Changing Lives Charity and help provide hope and a future for those who experience life-affecting trauma.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, logos, branding, photographs, and graphics remain the property of Changing Lives Charity unless otherwise stated.
They may not be copied or reused without permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
Changing Lives Charity shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses.
- Delays outside our control.
- Loss resulting from misuse of purchased items.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights provided under UK consumer law.
13. Privacy
Customer information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and is used only for order processing, communication, and charity operations.
We do not sell customer data to third parties.
