We’re ever grateful for your generous donations and to ensure that we’re using our precious charitable resources purposefully (and keeping a tight rein on waste disposal costs incurred from unsaleable donations) we must be selective about the donated items that we accept.
We welcome items on our accept list (below).
WE ACCEPT
- Quality furniture (e.g. dining tables & chairs, coffee tables, chest of drawers, bookshelves, etc)
- Sofas (must have valid fire label and be in excellent condition)
- White goods
- Electricals - Must be fully working with plug attached.
- TVs - must be flat screen and Freeview
- Home decor items (e.g. mirrors, photo frames, vases, indoor plant pots, dining sets & tableware, lamp shades, etc.)
- Classic ornaments
- Books
- Children’s toys and games
- Quality and/or vintage clothing, handbags and jewellery
- Shoes
- Curtains
- Rugs
- Towels
- Dry craft supplies (e.g. paper, card, glitter, etc - no glue.
- Vinyl, DVDs, CDs and computer games
- Wheelchairs, zimmer frames and walkers
- VCRs, printers, computers, scanners, phones, tablets, etc (ACCEPTED ON BEHALF OF THE NERD HERD)
WE DO NOT ACCEPT
- Armchairs on their own
- Cookers
- Mattresses
- Divan bed bases
- Duvets, duvet sets and pillows
- Safety gear (e.g. helmets, car seats and medical equipment)
- Cots, prams, pushchairs and other baby items
- Hardwired electronics
- Blinds
- Cosmetics and beauty products
- Bicycles
- Electric or large exercise equipment
- Commodes, shower aides and other medical equipment
And remember, we can take away your unwanted sofas, white goods, cookers and other items as part of our Bulky Waste disposal (in conjunction with North Somerset Council) and House Clearance services.
