Our vision for the future of Changing Lives Charity

“It isn't just Lives that are Changed at the Charity”.

Please find below a brief update on the current charity.

The last of the founding Trustees was able to retire in the summer. We give thanks for their vision, under God, to sustain the work that has been going on in Clevedon for many years. They have been generously supported by the Church and wider community in the town, enabling us to buy, refurbish and reopen Andrew House, which is now almost full and thriving.

In addition, our work has expanded within a unique programme called Volunteer Plus, where the volunteers (whether resident or not) are prepared to regain a fulfilling life through a range of therapeutic input and the opportunity to become "work ready" by volunteering in our commercial activities (shops, house clearances etc) which also serve our higher purpose by earning money for the charity through the town centre shop and warehouse, as well as our online sales channel.

Our relationship with North Somerset Council is also blossoming as we partner with them to deliver their Welfare Provision Scheme,  a Bulky Waste disposal service and an increasing number of projects to reduce waste going to landfill through recycling and re-use initiatives.

We continue, with our new Trustees, to look to see Lives Changed and work through the challenges that spring up along the way.

Please get in touch to find out more, to volunteer, to donate (goods or financially) or to investigate our current major initiative to share the ownership of Andrew House to ensure its long-term future and repay the loans that Mullers kindly made which enabled us to buy the house some years ago.

More details are available on all these elements of our work. Come and visit us at the warehouse or give us a call to find out more.
