Accepted donations

We’re ever grateful for your generous donations and to ensure that we’re using our precious charitable resources purposefully (and keeping a tight rein on waste disposal costs incurred from unsaleable donations) we must be selective about the donated items that we accept.

We welcome items on our accept list (below).

We accept

• Quality furniture e.g. dining tables & chairs, coffee tables, chest of drawers, bookshelves

• Sofas (Must have valid fire label and be in excellent condition)

• White goods

• Electricals - lamps, homeware. Must have plugs.

• TVs (Must be flat screen and Freeview)

• Home decor items e.g. Mirrors, photo frames, vases, indoor plant pots, dining sets & tableware, candelabras & candlesticks, baskets, lamp shades

• Classic ornaments

• Books

• Children’s toys & games

• Quality and/or vintage clothing, handbags, jewellery & scarves

• Shoes

• Curtains

• Rugs

• Towels

• Dry' craft supplies e.g. paper, card, glitter etc - no glue, paint etc

• Vinyl, DVDs, CDs & computer games

• Wheelchairs, zimmer frames and walkers

We do not accept

• Arm chairs on their own

• Cookers

• Hardwired electricals

• Mattresses

• Pianos

• Divan bed base

• Duvets, duvet sets and pillows

• Safety gear (e.g helmets, car seats and medical equipment)

• Cots, prams, pushchairs and other baby items

• VCRs, printers, computers, scanners etc

• Blinds

• Cosmetics & beauty products

• Bicycles

• Electric or large exercise equipment

• Commodes, shower aides and other medical equipment

And remember, we can take away your unwanted sofas, white goods, cookers etc as part of the bulky waste disposal and house clearance services.
